In One Stroke feat. Han Mei
Freespace Mixtape Vol. 1
A single act that has a big impact; a painting that tells a perfect story with a single stroke of the brush. This is the inspiration behind the name of the jazz quartet. Experimenting with form, texture, and style, In One Stroke hope their original compositions and improvisational interpretations create seamless, perfectly formed pieces.
Han Mei studied modern dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and won the Hong Kong Dance Alliance’s Hong Kong Dance Award 2010 for Outstanding Performance by a Female Dancer with “Homecoming”, a Passoverdance production. Besides having a passion for dance and theatre, Han also has a talent for handicrafts and started her own business making and selling canvas bags in 2012.
Han Mei started dancing at an early age and studied modern dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Besides having a passion for dance and theatre, Han also has a talent for singing, where she was invited by local jazz quartet In One Stroke for a crossover performance at Freespace Happening in January 2017 and have their new works recorded in our Freespace Mixtape Vol. 1.
