Meet our curators: Discover the history of the Forbidden City through an interactive map

What wonders lie within the thematic exhibition in Gallery 1, “Entering the Forbidden City: Collection, Architecture, and Heritage”? To enhance your journey of discovery through the unspoilt ancient artefacts from the Forbidden City, the Hong Kong Palace Museum has invited Mr Chiu Kwong-chiu, veteran artist and consultant on Palace Museum documentaries, to design a multimedia map. Illustrated in meticulous detail, the augmented map examines the geographical pattern of the Forbidden City, revealing in a visually impressive manner all the changes to it over the last 600 years.
