Meet our curators: Discover the world through different horse cultures

Horses have played a significant role in both Chinese and foreign cultures for centuries. Come to the special exhibition in Gallery 9, “The Grand Gallop: Art and Culture of the Horse”, and explore the charisma of horses through more than a hundred paintings, sculptures and decorative art objects from the Palace Museum displayed in juxtaposition with loans from the Louvre.
